Current Version: 0.2.1a (5/19/04)
What is Spellbook?
Spellbook is a Palm application for use with 3e D&D to track Wizard spells. That's pretty much all it does. It hasn't been thoroughly tested on all devices and OS versions, so use it at your own risk. It's free, though if you like it and feel compelled to send me a gift in return, I won't complain.
Why did you write it?
I was tired of making little tick marks on my spell sheet in pencil, erasing them, making them again, and so on. I looked around for a Palm app that would do what I wanted, but I couldn't find any, so I downloaded the Palm SDK and strarted coding.
Where did the spells come from?
The spell list included with Spellbook contains the Wizard spells from the 3.5e Player's Handbook, as listed in the System Reference Document. No other sources are currently planned for inclusion.
When are you going to add new features?
The first major feature set has been completed. No more are planned at the moment, but I may add more if there are requests.

Let's see some screen shots.
Here you go.

This is the Learn View, which is shown when you create a new wizard or when you choose "Add/Remove Spells" from the "Spellbook" menu in the Memorization View. Here you can add and remove spells from your spellbook by checking or unchecking the boxes next to each spell. If the spell is in a restricted school, you will be given a warning to that effect (though you have the option of ignoring the warning).

This is the Memorization View, which is shown when you open an existing wizard's spellbook, or when you choose "Memorize Spells" from the "Spellbook" menu in the Learn View. you can also get here by pressing the "Cast" button in the Learn View. All the spells of the selected level are shown here. Spells that are ready to cast are shown in bold and are sorted to the top for easy access. The number before the slash is the number of times the spell can be cast currently, while the number after the slash shows how many will be available after resting. The "Rest" button will refresh all spells. Once spells are available, a new button will appear next to the arrows, which can be used to cast the spell.

This is the New/Edit Wizard View. Here you can enter your character's vital statistics. You may also choose one specialized school and any number of restricted schools, which will affect which spells can be learned and any bonus spells allowed for specialized schools.
